USU at The Leonardo: Wings

Special Event

Wings: Wings are where the magic of flying happens! Come learn how airplane wings work to keep airplanes in the sky and why they look the way they look. You’ll learn about how engineers design real airplane wings and how the size, shape, and angle of a wing can affect the way airplanes fly. You’ll also be introduced to real computer software that airplane designers use to analyze the performance of wings and have a chance to build your own wing for a handheld glider. Presented by Dr. Jeff Taylor.

Activity for kids and youth.
